Why am I a Yoga teacher?
II decided to become a yoga teacher after being struck with a condition called ME. I had previously been a marathon runner and swam competitively and then suddenly I was bed bound. Restorative yoga , pranayama practices , the yoga philosophy and text were the foundations and support I needed to get my health back on track.
The main reason being that I had to work on my relationship with myself. I had spent years living in fight or flight. I never understood the importance of rest, or restoring and recovering and nurturing my body. After years of over exercising I had completely burnt myself out and my health then was really affected.
Since that first ever yoga class I have been on a mission to share what helped me so much. I have done over 950 hours of study. I have taken part in Vaerious different teachings vinyasa , yin, restorative , Bhakti , yoga therapy.
I will continue to study for the rest of my life.
Within the way I teach my group classes I share a strong emphasis on all of the 8 limbs of yoga. I share Yoga Philosophy themes every lesson , pranayama breathing practices , embodiment movement and somatic exercises.
