KIRTAN AT YOGA IN THE LANES. (Copy)
Kirtan at Yoga in the lanes.
This Kirtan session can be described as a therapeutic practice using breath-work, Sanskrit Mantras, some English lyrics, in a singular vocal expression, one voice together connecting us to the sky and earth for grounding and release. The chanting is carried out alongside instruments, such as cymbals, harmonium or drums. This practice will invite you to deeply connect to yourself and others to release, express and manifest. Repetitive chants help connect you to your own voice and act as a therapeutic tool to soothe the mind and emotions. No experience needed, and everyone is Welcome!

Description
Come together as part of our weekend of fundraising for the people of Palestine and Lebanon and join us for our final Kirtan of the year, led by Kelly and friends. With donations going to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) who are supporting the people of Palestine and Lebanon. Kirtan is a traditional practice where community comes together using their voice as one to chant mantra (a phrase sung in Sanskrit). We have likely all experienced the powerful feeling of chanting OM as one group; in Kirtan we galvanise the power of our voices as a way to elevate mood, celebrate coming together and come back into our heart and wholeness. Far from being stuffy and hymn like - Kirtan can connect us to our truth, to clarity and allow us to feel into areas where we may be experiencing stagnation. Whilst this practice is for a clear and important cause, it's also an opportunity to celebrate this time of year and our wonderful community, whilst staying true to the sacred roots of Yoga. Kelly Jarvis and friends will lead us through Kirtan with accompanying musical instruments and voices from Mike, Laura & Jas. This event is not for profit with all proceeds going towards Medical Aid for Palestinians who work for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. We provide immediate medical aid to those in great need, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.

HONOURING THE DARKER NIGHTS: A COMMUNITY KIRTAN & CELEBRATION.
Kelly Jarvis
Come together and join us for another of our uplifting Kirtan events at Luna Wave. The Autumn Equinox falls on September 22nd and marks one of two moments every year when the day and night are the same length. This time of year symbolises the shift of energies away from the buzz and thrill of summer, towards a quieter, more internally focused one as we move towards the darkness. Kirtan is a traditional practice where community comes together using their voice as one to chant mantra (a phrase sung in Sanskrit). We have likely all experienced the powerful feeling of chanting OM as one group; in Kirtan we galvanise the power of our voices as a way to elevate mood and celebrate coming together. Far from being stuffy and hymn like - Kirtan is joyful, mood boosting and soul centred and can actually be a real party once you give yourself to it.
The perfect way to celebrate this time of year and our wonderful community, whilst staying true to the sacred roots of Yoga. We will be joined by Kelly Jarvis and friends who will lead us through Kirtan with accompanying musical instruments and voices from Mike, Laura, Tom & Jas.
This event is not for profit with all proceeds going towards Justlife, a Brighton & Manchester based charity who are dedicated to supporting people with varying needs throughout their journey into and out of temporary accommodation. This involves addressing mental and physical health needs, and overcoming the barriers they face to finding housing. Once longer-term housing is secured, we aim to prevent people from returning to homelessness by involving them in our befriending scheme and creative group. Suggested donation of £5

Share your voice and connect our hearts .
A 2 hour event combining guided and silent meditation, breath work and mantra. Sound & Voice Mediation is inspired by traditional ancient practices originating from temples of Hindu & Sikh faiths; a communal gathering where the repetition of meaningful Sanskrit mantras brings participants into a state of body mind soul connection, in communion with the divine.
This gentle Kirtan session can be described as a therapeutic practice using breath-work, somatic mediation and simple Sanskrit Mantras, some English lyrics, in a singular vocal expression, one voice together connecting us to the sky and earth for grounding and release. This allows participants to deeply connect to themselves and others to release, express and manifest. Repetitive chants help connect participants to their own voice and act as a therapeutic tool to soothe the mind and emotions.
No experience needed. Everyone is welcome to this community event!
