What is Somatic Grief Therapy?
Somatic grief therapy blends traditional talk therapy with somatic practices, which focus on the body's physical responses to emotions. Grief can manifest in a variety of ways—anxiety, tension, fatigue, numbness, and even chronic pain. Through somatic therapy, we work together to understand how grief is showing up in your body and use techniques such as breathwork, body awareness, movement, and mindfulness to release the emotional and physical blocks that may be holding you back from healing.
What does the 2 month support programme offer ?
Personalized Grief Support: I offer 8 one-on-one sessions tailored to your unique grief journey. We will explore your feelings, memories, and emotions, as well as the physical sensations that arise during this time. Together, we will create a safe space where you can express and process your grief in a gentle, non-judgmental way.
-Somatic Techniques: Using a variety of somatic techniques, including grounding exercises, guided imagery, breathwork, and gentle movement, we will address the deep, embodied aspects of your grief. These practices help to release trapped emotions and restore a sense of balance and calm to your body and mind.
